For BluRay and HD video streaming, is it dedicated BD player or PS3?

Bef the PS3 gamers comment, I already have an XBox and Wii and don’t need another game console unless it does all that i need and then some with unique games and online marketplace.. I’m looking at bluRay and video streaming – both internet and DLNA.
But the PS 3 has been recommended by some for it’s internet streaming and BluRay capabilities.
I need the following solid in HD: Netflix, Vudo, AmazonOnDemand, Pandora, Youtube, DLNA. 7.1 audio capability. Solid upconverting of DVDs. Full HDMI output, not component or composite. Full Dolby / II / DTS, etc…
I don’t want to have to browse the internet to get to any of the above by adding a keyboard and mouse to my living room… Browsing would be nice, but I want video streaming functionality not a pseudo-HTPC.
Right now it’s down to the LG 590, Samsung 6500, Sony 5700 (wishful updates coming).
If the PS3 is the way to go, then it should have the functionality above built in or via an Online market place like XBox Live. Plus some unique games besides the shootem up garbage everyone is pushing. Racing, puzzles, role play, Sega, classics, etc…
BONUS Requirement:
I has to be girlfriend friendly. I mean, no complicated menus (she already has trouble getting to netflix on the XBox). I would like everything accessible via a remote control as with the XBox…
The PS3 does not have Netflix built in (you must order a Blu-Ray disc from Netflix) and I dunno if Netflix will ever get onto the PS3 Operating System software as a program. The internet browser is a watered down, basic browser, so I dunno if its gonna work for Pandora or Vudo or AmazonOnDemand (I prefer physical formats over streaming, so I don’t know much about those). Youtube will work. The PS3 will do all your other requirements (including the girlfriend thing) and Sony could add such things in firmware updates if needed (DVD upconversion and DTS-HDMA came via firmware update, for example). Whether you think the PS3 is for you is up to you.
Personally, I recommend and use a PS3…. they are extremely dynamic and software releases are always improving the functionality offered. And…. to boot, you get a gamming machine. They are making a software release this summer to support 3D blueray.
Meets your requirements.

I’m not sure about Blu-ray,but the PS3 has tons of great non-fps games.LittleBigPlanet,Heavy Rain,ModNation Racers,Final Fantasy,Gran Turismo 5(which isn’t out yet,though) and much more.
On Girlfriend friendly,as long as she doesn’t mess around with the settings(which are ridiculously complicated and techies-only).It also has a store, where you can buy and download HD movies,games,mini-games for PSPs,themes, wallpapers and also PSX/PS1 games.
