During the spring of last year I heard a scary tale from a friend about a local business that had hired her. She was enticed by a high rate of pay with flexible hours for school.
I did some investigating and found a lot of disgruntled employees of a networking business called Vector Marketing.
Vector Marketing is in charge of the sales of a American made high end knife and although there has been a lot of trash talking of Vector Marketing by disgruntled employees Vector has done nothing illegal nor is it a scam. But a lot of applicants have called ethical fouls in terms of there recruiting and hiring techniques.
Many claim to be mislead about the specifics about the job until the last day of training.
I am publishing these interviews in effort to educate other young applicants will be informed about the job they are applying for. All interviews were done in Oregon, so it does not cover a national trend. I am protected by the American Freedom of Speech Act. Not all interviews are negative. If you are in Oregon and would like to be interviewed please contact me.

“Worked” for these …
“Worked” for these guys back in 1997, it was the same schtick. Easy interview, training meetings, buy the knives, sell to relatives. Saw them a few years later in a different office space next to where I had opened a computer shop after college. The office closed and everyone disappeared just before the end of the semester. I remember students were hanging around outside for paychecks. They were in disbelief when I told them the office had closed. Be wary of these guys.
u 2 are fcking …
u 2 are fcking idiots….evb4mvp, u say its too much work for crappy pay. but let me ask you this, does any other jobs that require no work experience and other special things give you that kind of money? u should try mcdonalds and see how u like it. it seems like u just dont want to put in the effort.

I work for vector …
I work for vector marketing and its really nothing like this. Cutco is a product that is marketed by “word of mouth” advertising. That means the company doesnt advertise on TV, or sell in stores. They sell through vector marketing, which is the only way to purchase cutco. You aren’t going door to door because the houses you do go to are already set appointments. Its not telemarketing because you don’t go through a phone book calling people. You as a rep determine how successful you will be.
I think Vector …
I think Vector Marketing hires everyone that goes to get an interview. I remember being in a room with about 60 people and then the next day seeing all those people at the training session.
Good luck with the job.
I’m probably one of …
I’m probably one of the most evil basterds in tennessee, but vecto/cutco is legit…. at first i thought “HOLY $#!T!! THIS IS A BIG SCAM!! But I gave it a shot and now i average a 1700 dolla paycheque every week cuz i sell to restaurants in the area. lol,
I currently work …
) and I Love it..I love meeting new ppl..and I have really big goals for myself..I had a good fast start, and I’m the #1 rep the Tacoma Office and I just started not even 2 months ago. This job isn’t for everybody, but I will say I would at least try it for a month, and when I say Try I mean Go all out see what your made of and push yourself to be better so U have no regrets and if u still don’t see the potential in it and yourself then Maybe Ur just not ready yet.
I currently work there too
im glad u at least …
im glad u at least tried for it. its true that u really have to work for it. maybe people believe its a scam because they believe they will suddenly get rich. im sure vector does not say that, but people might imply it to what they say. i currently work there, another job, and have summer school. if u wanna ask questions, feel free to do so.
but i believe this …
but i believe this is only a scam if you make it one. push yourselfand you shall prevail, at this and anything.again, just had interview today and am undecided, any who wish to offer advice is welcome. send me a message or reply to this
however, these are …
however, these are only available if you work at it, you must be dedicated and not let the “make your own schedule” pitch convince you that this is something to be blown off. i think if you work at it you can see a profit, its true that some people come in and expect loads of money instantly, and the company probably lead them to believe that. instant profit doesnt happen, there is profit to be made with work.they hire like crazy and lose people like crazy due to these issues.i am a nuetral party
many young people …
many young people because they are most looking for work.are they out to make a profit? ofcourse, but so are you. i think they hire in mass to spread the word of their business, which is not a bad thing necessarily. good marketing, the student who decides not to stick with it made a few bucks and cutco got the word out.i believe that it has many wonderful oppertunites,
if you base you …
if you base you beliefs and choices off of a video on youtube what can be expected. there are positive videos and negative videos, i had my interview today and it seemed too good to be true, so i am looking into it.i have seen other videos so i dont base my decision soley on this.the products are high quality and what not but i am skeptical at their abilaty to sell at such high prices.which may be why all the negative attention towards vector/cutco.i believe that it brings in many
really? could you …
really? could you tell me more. they offered me a job and i have one, dont know if its stable enough to switch
how is it a scam? a …
how is it a scam? a scam is when people get cheated of their money. is the workers getting cheated of their money?
scam is a fraudulent intent to cheat people of money. How is that happening?
