As far as the end of the world goes SCIENCE & RELIGION both AGREE (which isn’t often) that it is not only possible but will only be a matter of time, besides no one here on earth can escape death to live forever anyway, so get over it! l think you are being over critical of sony pictures for this advertising technique. My first thought when l saw this was that the ‘end of the world’ people were stepping in once again till l saw the unrated bar at the end. l think its brilliant honestly, to the majority it seems plausible, lm sure you remember the ‘war of the worlds’ broadcasts and it is simply another fictional piece that looks better advertised as reality.
