If I put my song on YouTube, can a music agent market it without my permission, legally?

Ok, I make songs with a free, downloaded program on my computer. The songs have no vocals or anything, just some beats, but the songs are really attractive and catchy.

So, if, say, Dr. Dre, a marketing agent in the music biz, heard my song and decides he wants to make a CD or radio hit or something, can he just take it because its on YouTube, or does he have to contact me beforehand?

How can I show my song without worrying about this, if it can be done?

Please, help! :)

If he was a gentlemen he would ask, but in this situation you could be screwed, what ya need to do is make a personal copy for yourself and send it to yourself in the mail, that way you have a legal time stamp on the product and proves it was yours first. you also need to look into copywrite law and get it copywrit ASAP
