Youtube video game walkthrough question?

Why do the companies want the videos taken down? I mean it’s practically free marketing and it’s not like you can download the games for free from youtube. Heck at least six games I own I decided to buy because of seeing the playthrough on youtube.

Probably because they make those walkthrough books that they would rather have you buy from them.
